Thanks to its remarkable adaptability it is highly unlikely that the octopus would ever get into trouble with the law. In fact, it would probably make a better guardian of the law, thanks to its unusual ability to remember faces, its lightning speed and the fact that it has 8 long arms (of the law) at its disposal. Not much chance of escape there…
